Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you be the florist for my wedding?
We are not a full-scale florist, and we only design with what we grow. Due to the small size of the farm, we don’t have enough flowers for large weddings. But if you need a few arrangements for a small event, just drop us a line!
Can I visit the farm and cut my own flowers?
We are not open to the public, but for your flower-field fix we recommend visiting our neighbor, Whitetails Farm, in Clarksburg.
Why should I order from you when I can get the same thing at the grocery store for cheaper?
Besides supporting a local small business, locally grown flowers have a much smaller environmental footprint. You'll also see many more varieties and colors of blooms that don't hold up during weeks of travel and storage from overseas. We've never seen a dahlia at the grocery store!
Can I order flowers and have them delivered?
In general, no - it’s a one woman show over here with little capacity for drives through the rolling countryside. However, if you are making a large order for an event, contact us and we’ll work something out.
How do I care for my cut flowers?
We know it’s a pain - but trust us, changing the water every day will extend the life of your flowers. If you want to go all out, give the ends a little trim every few days so they can drink up! We also suggest keeping them out of extreme heat and sun.
How long do cut flowers last?
Bouquets typically last a week with proper care. Some flowers will last up to two weeks or more though, so just pull those out, clip the ends, and add them to next week's bouquet!
